Misako Ballet Studio opened its doors in 2003 at Harper's Choice Village Center in Columbia, MD.  All classes are held in our two airy dance studios with professional sprung floors.

Artistic director Misako Aoki-Oda studied at the Royal Ballet School in London.  During her performing career she danced professionally with Japan's Matsuyama Ballet Company and toured Europe and China with Rudolf Nureyev.

We believe a high standard of excellence in dance training helps the student develop not only physically, but also in a manner with which they can build their self- discipline and positive attitude toward all areas in their life.  Misako Ballet Studio teachers provide high quality and well-structured professional dance training to all ages and levels in a warm and pleasant manner.  Our dedicated teachers aim to help every student achieve the very best of his or her abilities. Each student receives individualized technique attention depending on his/her stage of development.

Misako Ballet Studio is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a break through 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development.  The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.Primary through Level 3 will be taught by ABT certified Teacher, Ms. Debra DeVoe, who has successfully complete the ABT Teacher training Intensive in Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Ms. Jessica Markiewicz is an ABT Certified Teacher,who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
